As part of the Green Morocco Plan, Agropolis represents the benchmark regional industrial zone welcoming all industries linked to the agricultural value chain: upstream support, agro-food processing, logistics & distribution as well as marketing.It should allow:
- To enhance Fez-Meknès region main sectors: milk, cereals, and meat sectors (mainly intended for the local market) and olives, fruits, and vegetables sectors (mainly intended for export).
- To attract support industries allowing the improvement of upstream agriculture productivity (e.g., irrigation equipment, packaging,agro-supply …).

Abundant and qualified pool of human resources
Presence of several universities (Meknes Agriculture National School, Moulay Ismail University, Al Akhawayne University) in addition to food industry education centers.
Very good connectivity
